The Future of the School Food Trust

SFM has been asked to comment on rumours and leaks about the future of the School Food Trust. Whatever you think about the School Food Trust, it has done one thing brilliantly; it has become a focus for public debate and kept school food in the press. The Trust helps us celebrate success, highlight areas that need improvement and shows us all how far we have come since the bad old days, pre-standards.

Without the Trust we fear the government will loose focus. School Food Matters supports Joan Walley's EDM 530 calling mandatory standards across all public food. To achieve this it is vital that we do all we can to keep school food at the top of the political agenda.
