School Food Matters was invited to the House of Commons to be part of a roundtable discussion on school meals hosted by Shadow Education Minister, Sharon Hodgson MP. Campaigners, charities, MPs, academics, teachers and parents got together to update the minister on progress, challenges and good practice in school meals and to discuss our hopes for the future. A smaller group has now formed to work on our collective vision and to make plans for a 2011 campaign. SFM trustee, Lindsay Graham will be part of this group which will discuss standards, the school lunch grant, extension of free school meals and universal school meals. The action group will report to the roundtable early in March.
