Bacon comes from sheep?

My thanks to Grey Court School for bringing this article from London's Metro to my attention. According to research ahead of Farmhouse Breakfast Week (to celebrate UK cereal growers) a third of teenagers think oats grow on trees and a fifth believe that eggs are a vital ingredient in bread making.  More disturbing is that a quarter of teenagers believe that bacon comes from sheep.  More evidence of the importance of food education .. as if we needed it!
