Kingston Sustainable Schools Conference

It was a pleasure to take part in Kingston's Sustainable School conference on Friday at Lovelace Primary.  SFM ran a workshop on the food and drink doorway and our group of ten was brimming with ideas on how to introduce food education into schools and work together towards fresher, more sustainable school food.  

Lots of interest in Capital Growth and the new round of funding for growing projects.  Also much talk about school food and the Kingston school meals working party so hopefully we can keep the momentum going.  At the moment schools are busy reporting on the school meal service as it stands so that we can observe strengths and weaknesses of the service and discuss at our next meeting in March.
