Thank you to Tom Aikens for another successful Cooking Ideas - this time at Tiffin Girls. Tom was able to christen the brand new food room at the school and what a wonderful start to their cooking activities.
The girls tested out their chopping skills with fresh basil and
thyme for a delicious tomato sauce then got to grips with fresh pasta making.
As ever the chocolate fondant was a huge hit and there was no shortage of volunteers for scraping the bowl.
It's always a pleasure at the end of these sessions to sit down with the students, share the freshly prepared lunch and hear about their cooking experiences. Many love to cook at home and all the girls were looking forward to having cooking as part of their busy curriculum. Tom's recipes will soon be posted on the SFM website, so perhaps they'll have a go on their own.
They'll be another Cooking Ideas session at Green Lane Primary tomorrow.
