Growing Vegetables at Westminster Abbey

Today I had the pleasure of meeting the Head Gardener at Westminster Abbey, Jan Pancheri. Jan showed me around the beautiful College Garden which she lovingly tends with a special understanding of what will grow abundantly, and in keeping with what would have grown when Monks roamed the grounds in the 14th century.  She has written and illustrated a lovely book for children on the gardens as they were, called Brother William's Year.  Perhaps we can work together on developing vegetable growing at the Abbey as a Capital Growth project?  For now, look how she has managed to incorporate vegetable gardening amongst the lovely flowers and herbs.
