College Garden, Westminster Abbey

Enjoyed another lovely hour with Jan Pancheri, head gardener at Westminster Abbey.  We're making final arrangements with a local school to grow veg in the College Garden.  Meanwhile, the girls and boys at Westminster School have planted a new herb garden.  Over 900 years ago, the monks grew herbs in the College Garden for medicinal purposes and some of those herbs, such as fennel and hyssop, are still growing today.  Imagine how beautiful it will look next summer and to complete the picture, we'll have a lovely vegetable patch too!
